Awhile back, I was asked by the amazing Amazonas Photography to be a part of her photo project. A project that showcased the real life behind talented and creative women from the wedding industry. Such an amazing opportunity and honor to be amongst so many talented women!
Something that I have never shared on this blog is that I suffer from Chronic Urticaria, an auto-immune disease which means my body is making antibodies against itself, resulting in activation of basophils (type of white blood cell) and mast cells. When these cells are activated, they release many different chemicals, including histamine, which results in hives, and allergic reaction symptoms as well. With that being said, the way I eat is very important. I am on a daily routine of medications, but I truly believe your body can heal better by what you feed it. I try to stick to a clean, raw meal diet that is low in histamine. When Renata asked me to shoot about something I am passionate about beside weddings, I knew it would be about cooking. I love shopping at the local farmer markets so we came up with the idea of shooting a 'meal prep' scenario where I chop up something yummy! ENJOY!
Big thanks to Luce Loft for letting me use your space. And a huge thanks to my glam squad girls Hair: Peggy Rogers and Makeup: Shelby McElroy. I usually am behind the scenes so it was refreshing to be reminded of my inner beauty. You girls Sure know how to make a girl feel pretty. The beautiful handmade head piece came from the very talented EB Designs. Thanks again to Renata from Amazonas Photography for capturing this life I live.
